So what is "Contact Ministries" anyway? Good question... keep reading.

Our Mission:  "...a spiritual journey with God that transforms young adults to lead in the local church and actively redeem our culture..."

Our Core Values: (What's important to us?)

• Authentic Community
  A "real", transparent, unified community where we can encourage one another and speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:1-6,15,29; Hebrews 10:24,25).
  
• Journey Focused
  Meeting people where they are at on their spiritual journey and together taking steps closer to Christ (Phil 3:12-16; James 1:2-5).
  
• Earthly Holiness
  Bringing the presence of God into all of the circumstances and situations of our world without compromising God’s holiness (Phil 1:27; 2:14,15; Eph. 4:22-24).
  
• Wounded Healers
  Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead as God is more concerned about where you’re going than where you’ve come from. Ministering to each other out of the weakness of our pain and struggles (Phil 3:13; 2 Cor 1:3-7; 12:9,10; Psalm 51:17).
  
• Living Your Calling
  We are all a "customized expression of a loving God" (Arthur Miller, 1999). A unique fingerprint of God. Understanding how we are "wired" and our unique passions and gifts allows us to live out are calling in the most fulfilling and God honoring way (Ps. 139:13,14; Phil 2:12,13; Eph. 4:11-13).
  
• Integrating a Biblical Worldview
  Living our lives through the powerful filter of Godly perspective. Understanding the power of Scripture to speak into all of the issues of our world and personal circumstances, and living in obedience to God’s Word (2 Tim. 3:16,17; James 1:22).
  
• Redeeming Cultures Locally and Abroad
  Thoroughly understanding our culture and bringing the redeeming power of Christ’s love to the difficult issues of life. Being radically local with a global perspective (1 Cor. 9:19-23; James 1:27).

"Contact Ministries" is a young adult ministry with a city wide focus in the city of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. This ministry is based out of Forest Grove Community Church. We are a citywide ministry that encourages believers from all denominations to not only come out to Monday Night Contact to worship and grow in faith together, but to also be involved in your own community of fellowship (translation from "Christianese": your own Church).

Our desire is to develop a ministry that is Bible based, culturally relevant, and focused on developing leaders within society who understand what it means to live Christianly in their context and who actively work toward redeeming our culture in every aspect of life. We live in a world that is longing for truth - for anchor points that makes sense, that make a difference in our lives and that do not change like a passing fad. We will never understand "truth" until we meet the source of all truth. We will never understand who we are until we see ourselves as God sees us - completely loved, completely adequate, completely accepted.

The purpose of this website is to bring the relevance and truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to where people are. In part, we want to bring an aspect of the church to you. Never before has our generation been more disillusioned with the church, and yet at the same time, never before has there been a stronger desire and need for real community - "Real Contact". We hope that this website, www.realcontact.org, will help you find authentic community, opportunities to serve, chances to grow and develop your faith in God and have a whole lot of fun along the way.
